Our Story

Through Lucy's Light was born from the deepest heartbreak a parent can experience and from the belief that even in unimaginable darkness, light can still be found.
Our daughter, Lucy, was born after a pregnancy filled with hope and dreams for the future. During labor, our lives changed forever when a catastrophic uterine rupture led to complications that took her from us just minutes after she was born.
Nothing prepares you for the silence that follows the loss of a child. The world keeps moving while yours stands still. In the midst of overwhelming grief, we quickly realized that families facing child loss often feel isolated, unseen, and uncertain of where to turn. We also discovered how little awareness exists around uterine rupture and the devastating impact it can have on families.
Through Lucy's Light was created to change that. Our mission is to bring hope to grieving families by providing support, meaningful resources, financial assistance when possible, and a community that reminds parents they do not have to walk this journey alone.
Lucy changed our lives forever. While we would give anything to have her here, her life continues to inspire compassion, connection, and purpose. Every family we support, every conversation we start, and every life we touch carries a piece of her legacy forward.
Because love doesn't end when a life does. It continues to shine. And through Lucy's light, we hope others can find their way through the darkness.
